Christiansted, St. Croix
The Cerulean – Oceanfront Luxury Retreat
Situated along the coast of St. Croix’s east end, The Cerulean offers five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths of oceanfront luxury. This beachfront haven was designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living, where sea breezes drift through open spaces and every detail reflects the calm, sophisticated rhythm of island life.
The main house features spacious open-air living areas, vaulted ceilings, and a full chef’s kitchen ideal for entertaining. Each bedroom offers a private en-suite bath and serene ocean or garden views. Step onto the covered veranda for morning coffee with the sound of waves below, or unwind by the oceanfront pool surrounded by tropical landscaping.
A separate one-bedroom, loft with a queen-sized bed, one bath, guest cottage with its own kitchen and private entrance, provides the perfect setup for extended family or friends. Solar panels power the villa, combining modern efficiency with timeless island style.
Whether hosting a family gathering, a group getaway, or a private retreat, The Cerulean delivers the best of St. Croix—privacy, comfort, and endless blue views.
This property has concierge experience available. From stocking your villa with groceries to arranging exhilarating island tours, boat excursions, and more, we've got you covered. Wildlife at The Cerulean
Daytime - Pelicans are frequent visitors, actively fishing just offshore and occasionally visiting the property to take a well-deserved rest. They love to dive into the blue waters and will circle the property endlessly searching for fish. Magnificent frigatebirds also make regular appearances, circling offshore hunting for schools of fish. You’ll also have a plethora of song and shore birds that visit The Cerulean and patrol the shallow waters, searching out tasty fruit or enjoying the ocean buffet. On land, island deer may sometimes stop by The Cerulean for a snack of fresh fruit or leaves. These cute critters are much smaller than you might be used to - sometimes just the size of a dog. They are very skittish, so if you see one and stay very quiet, it might just hang around for a while. Harder to spot, but occasionally venturing out from the foliage, geckos and skinks are constantly hunting for little things to eat. A tiny piece of fruit can sometimes tempt a particularly brave one out for a quick photo opportunity. Another shy animal that you might see streaking by is the St Croix “squirrel” – which is actually a mongoose. These critters love to grab a lizard or other small fauna and generally avoid humans. And unlike US mainland squirrels and chipmunks, these furry balls of lighting are pretty adept at avoiding cars.
Evenings – The coqui frogs start singing in the evening and are part of the distinctive soundtrack of St Croix at night. You’ll find them in the leaves of bushes and trees and occasionally hanging out on a wall – they are recognizable by their slender bodies and giant eyes and they love to pose for pictures. And rest assured, their nighttime singing does not penetrate the soundproof windows and walls at The Cerulean. If you’re particularly lucky on some evenings, a local fruit bat (nicknamed by the locals “Woobat” in English and “Chovsouri” in Creole) likes to visit each house in the bay, scooping up tasty moths attracted to the lights. He is extremely agile and puts on a great acrobatic show before moving on to the next house. And do not fear, he has no interest in you and St Croix is rabies-free. Bats are an important part of the St Croix ecosystem and are a protected species, so please respect this important contributor to the health of the island and let him grab his dinner in peace. Other nighttime visitors include hermit crabs which are constantly looking to upgrade their domiciles near the shoreline – sometimes exchanging their shells multiple times in a night. And if you’re especially lucky, a yellow-crowned night heron might stop by for a look at the ocean menu for the evening.

Completely renovated inside and out with the best stocked kitchen we've ever had in a rented house. High point is the pool deck area. Unbelievable views. There is also a little beach area with chairs. Great snorkeling right from that beach. A little bit of a maze to get through some shallow areas but totally worth it. Lastly A review for Rich the property manager. We had a minor issue he resolved immediately early on a Sunday morning. He also got us connected with a rental car when all the travel sites and rental companies said none were available. We would definitely stay here again.
We had the pleasure of staying on this beautiful property for 2 months while we were on island for a local project. The house is inviting and accommodating. Each bedroom had its own on-suite bathroom giving everyone adequate privacy. The Kitchen is large making it perfect for larger groups or families. In addition, just 20 steps away from the main home, there's a cottage with 2 beds, a kitchen and full bathroom. Combined all of that with a large patio, pool, outdoor kitchen and its own beach, this property will not disappoint!
Great property with super private location. The sunrises are incredible!
